Welcome to the protected space! You are exactly where you are supposed to be.

There is always someone or something that needs healing – your health, your past, your loved one, your situation, the environment, or the world.

Whatever you are trying to heal, remember there is something that made the situation or condition possible, and currently holds it in place. Identifying what it is – and letting it go is a prerequisite for healing.

If healing is the natural act of becoming whole, removing this obstacle to healing will allow it to happen spontaneously.

It is easy to identify with your suffering and to hold onto being right. But even acknowledging that the suffering that caused you to form this opinion was real, you might choose to let it go – if you realize that it is your opinion that allows the current condition to persist in your present and extend in your future.

Thich Nhat Hanh said, “People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.”
